ZAIN.KSA Saudi-Riyadh, Implementation Project
My Last project but not the least project was in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
I was working in a implementation project for a multinational Telecoms Giant -Mobile Telecommunication Company(MTC), ZAIN - Marketing name.
The project phase was really an challenging task, We were implementing HRMS,INV,PO,AP,GL and CM in just two months !!!!
This might be the shortest life cycle implementation Project , That I have ever involved in...
For our amazement till now things are moving very smooth with nil issues. We gone-live by Oracle Purchasing, Oracle i-procurement and Oracle Inventory on DEC-31st. Hope to have a safe and smooth take off . Till this moment the journey is safe and happy, Hope the same till safe and happy landing.
Unfortunately , I was not there at the time of go live. Due to some personnel reasons , I was forced back to my native. I hope my backup the hero looking guy Mr.Mostafa would have done the right job. Because till date I was not bothered by not even by a single phone call or mail, hats off to him.
Right now I am suffering from chicken pox taking rest in my native and waiting for a new horizon.

Most lovable and disciplined students in their personal life not in the class. Experienced Professors to Experienced End users ,a batch with vibrant colours I could say..!!!
Their hospitality was really great especially Mr Tariq and Mr Sadiq. We had really a great get to gather in Tariq's place. I enjoyed the most. They took lot of extra care about me more than a Consultant. Actually they treated me as their close Family Member, No words to explain their love and affection.
Hope every one from this batch should become an Renowned Consultant in this Universe and wish them all a very bright future.
The most academic Umer Zubair and Nomana being as an end user really they had a great stuff of knowledge in Oracle. My best wishes for them ...

Business Intelligence
Business Intelligence, also known as "BI", is a term currently used to describe a discipline which captures and assesses various aspects of a company, its customers and competitors. This includes processes and software which assist in gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to intelligent information on a company's data in order to identify significant trends or patterns that ultimately facilitate the decision-making process and provide the company with a competitive advantage.
BI ideally serves as a unified presentation layer for data that originates in one or more data sources such as a transaction or ERP systems. Optimally, BI shares this data in a more intuitive manner that allows business users to easily comprehend the issues depicted by the figures - and to then take appropriate action.

Applications Unlimited Q&A
- Oracle Applications Unlimited ?
Applications Unlimited is Oracle’s plan to continue providing ongoing enhancements to current Oracle Applications beyond the delivery of Oracle Fusion Applications. Applications Unlimited will provide customers with more visibility into our existing product roadmaps and help them derive continual success with their current applications by delivering dedicated, world-class development and support for years to come. Applications Unlimited is driven by Oracle’s commitment to protecting customer’s investments.
- How is the Applications Unlimited strategy beneficial to Oracle customers?
Oracle is giving customers the option to choose what is best for their business. Customers can continue to derive value from their existing applications, which we plan to continuously update or they can upgrade free of charge to future technologies if there is a business case to do so. It is entirely the customer’s choice.
- How will the Applications Unlimited announcement impact the Oracle Fusion timeline?
Applications Unlimited will not impact the scheduled 2008 delivery of Fusion Applications. In addition to providing ongoing enhancements to the current Oracle Applications, Oracle has dedicated development teams designing the first release of Oracle Fusion Applications and working through upgrade scenarios with customer advisory boards and user groups. The scale of our applications business allows us to continue investing in all existing products, which in turn allows us to address a wide range of customer requirements. Oracle Fusion Applications, which is built completely on industry standards, will simply represent another addition to the Oracle Applications family.
- Will I have to wait for Fusion Applications to get new functionality?
Dedicated development teams will work closely with customer advisory boards and user groups to design new releases and functional enhancements to current Oracle Applications product families. As part of these enhancements, Oracle plans to deliver next-generation application capabilities, such as XML reporting, data hubs, Business Process Execution Language (BPEL), business activity monitoring (BAM), and industry-specific analytics to the current Oracle Applications. These next-generation enhancements will leverage the same industry standards and technologies that we plan to use in Oracle Fusion Applications, preserving your investments.
